feeding and Pacifiers? Please Help??

My 10 day old baby girl has been exclusively fed since birth. The last four days she has taken to wanting to feed constantly. She will feed, the sleep for 10 or 15 minutes, wake up and want to be put on the again. However, the issue is, is that she doesn't always feed, a lot of the time she just wants something to suck on for a while and then falls asleep again. She will only have a few long sleeps in a 24 hour period and even these are only 2 hours at most. I know I am producing milk as I can easily express it by hand and I can tell when she is actually feeding. My main issue with this is that today I finally gave in and gave her a pacifier even though my midwife advised me not to. I am completely exhausted, my are raw and extremely painful from her constantly sucking on them and yet I still feel extremely guilty for giving her a pacifier. Did giving your baby a pacifier interrupt feeding or mess up your milk supply? I feel like I am failing her :(
