Why did Beethoven and Mozart consider Handel as the greatest composer and not Bach?

Why did they consider Handel the best and not Bach? even Mozart and Beethoven was better than him, musicologists and ordinary people alike universally would put Bach Beethoven and Mozart over Handel, then why did Ludwig and Wolfgang regarded him as the best?
